Pam Norwood.
I am originally from Indianapolis, IN and moved to North Carolina in 1988. I am very involved with our Relay for Life/American Cancer Society and with our local Chamber of Commerce as an Ambassador.
I spent 25 years in the medical field here in Henderson and have spent the last 5 years working as the Broker & Co-Owner of Magnolia Mgmt LLC Rental Properties. I have seen first hand that we have many people in our community that NEED a place like SPRINGS to help them in so many aspects of daily living.
Whether it is in counseling, education, daily living skills, or young people just needing a safe place to go. I am very excited about working with SPRINGS and their vision
Odessa Burnette Gatewood
Being born and raised in rural Warren County, North Carolina provided many opportunities for the great outdoors and other exciting ventures. My parents are Willie and Helen Burnette, deceased, who were loving people persons, who rendered unprecedented service to mankind and who were generous givers of their hearts, souls, love, time and attention. From them, I learned the value of family and community. Married to Reverend Curtis Gatewood, we have been blessed with two wonderful children, Anthony and Desmera. They together, have blessed us with four lovely granddaughters.
Retired from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety (NCDPS), I worked as probation-parole officer, Chief of Probation-Parole, Assistant Judicial District Manager and Judicial District Manager of Probation-Parole/Community Corrections. I am currently contracted with NCDPS as Special Investigator, EEO Investigator and currently Revocation Hearing Officer; also currently working alongside my husband with the Stop Killing Us Campaign; addressing the senseless killings and gun violence that are plaguing our communities.
I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Shaw University in 1984, a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Phoenix in 2007 and am currently pursuing a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership Degree from the University of Phoenix.
Being a board member of Springs Holistic will provide me the opportunity to utilize my upbringing, education, work history and involvement with community activities by helping youths and families to accomplish a lifestyle that is mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically healthy by making accessible to them means to provide essential and basic needs.
